1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using any application or service provided by RiffRoutine ("we", "us", or "our"), including the website www.riffroutine.com and the mobile applications RiffRoutine, Polyrhythmic Metronome, Ear N Play, Scale Master Guitar, and Guitar Progression Generator (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Description of Services
RiffRoutine provides music education and practice tools, including but not limited to metronome functionality, ear training exercises, scale reference tools, chord progression generation, and structured practice routines. Some features may require a paid subscription.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
3.1 Auto-Renewable Subscriptions
Some of our apps offer auto-renewable subscriptions to unlock premium features. When you purchase a subscription:
- Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's account settings (App Store or Google Play Store).
3.2 Lifetime Purchases
Some apps offer a one-time lifetime purchase that grants permanent access to premium features. Lifetime purchases are non-recurring and do not require cancellation.
3.3 Free Trials
We may offer free trial periods for premium features. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged the subscription price. Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
3.4 Refunds
All purchases are processed through Apple or Google. Refund requests must be directed to the respective store. We do not process refunds directly.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services
- Use the Services for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to circumvent subscription or access restrictions
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Services or any content within them
5. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Services — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, audio, and software — are owned by RiffRoutine and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Services without our prior written consent.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the Services is at your own risk.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RiffRoutine shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Services. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Sections regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability survive termination.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised Terms on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. For App Store purchases, the Apple Standard EULA also applies.
